(the “Company”) (Nasdaq:CHEF), a premier distributor of specialty food products in the United States and Canada, announced today that it has agreed to sell 1,900,000 shares of its common stock to Jefferies LLC as underwriter in a public offering under the Company’s effective shelf registration statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”). The Company expects to use the net proceeds from the sale of its common stock for general working capital and corporate purposes.
A shelf registration statement relating to these securities was declared effective by the SEC on June 30, 2016.
